Up for bid is a beautiful Chinese Hadrosaur egg with the rarer tan colored shell. This piece weighs 4 pounds 14.5 ounces. All the shell is original to this egg, but some has come loose and was glued back on. I guarantee this egg is 100% authentic. I can't tell you how many fake eggs or even just rocks being sold as dinosaur eggs that come up for sale on ebay. I prepare all my own eggs which I don't think many people can say! It is from the Kaoguo Formation, Xixia Basin, Henan Province in China. These eggs have become very hard to come by. I was just recently at the big fossil show in Denver, which is historically one of the largest shows for dinosaur eggs in the United States, and there was almost no eggs for sale. A few dealers had one or two eggs and that was about it, and they were extremely expensive. At the show in years past, I have seen some of the Chinese dealers and the Eons Ago Company (one of the largest egg dealers) have literally hundreds of eggs for sale each. I have no doubt these eggs are going to continue to go up in value as the supply continues to decrease. Get one while you still can! This will be one of those pieces where 10 years from now, you will look back and regret not getting one. This egg is from a very old collection that has been in the United States for a very long time. These dinosaurs were from the Cretaceous period, 70-100 million years ago. I am so confident that you’ll love this fossil that I offer a 100% money back guarantee – if you’re not happy for any reason, send the egg back and I’ll refund your money and pay for the shipping back to me. I am happy to sell to international buyers! Put us on your favorite sellers list and watch our auctions that end each Saturday. Thanks for looking! Hadrosaur 65-100 Million Years OldHadrosaur dinosaurs were common herbivores in the Upper Cretaceous Period of what are now Asia, Europe and North America . Hadrosaurs were the first dinosaur family to be identified in North America . The hadrosaurs are known as the duck-billed dinosaurs due to the similarity of their head to that of modern ducks. In some genera, most notably Anatotitan , the whole front of the skull was flat and broadened out to form a beak, ideal for clipping leaves and twigs. However, the back of the mouth contained literally thousands of teeth suitable for grinding food before it was swallowed. This has been hypothesized to have been a crucial factor in the success of this group in the Cretaceous. /wiki/Hadrosaur /dinosaurs-for-children.php?dinosaur=Hadrosaurus
