The Hafler Trans Nova P7000 is the best sounding power amp I've ever heard. I've had a few of these so t are a few things that buyers should know about these amps even if you buy on from someone else. First , these amps run hot. Its normal as they are designed to run this way. They need to be well ventilated and the fans are a little bit loud. Second , never change any of the connections on these amps while they are on. Also, make absolutely sure your wiring is good and t are no shorts on the inputs or outputs. If these amps get a shorted input they are likely to shoot sparks and smoke out the side ventilation holes. Very impressive to see but your amp won't work any more and t is a good chance your speakers won't work either. Third , the transformer block has threaded hex pegs for the mounting screws that are welded onto the bottom of the case. They are circled red in the pictures. The transformer is is really heavy (as transformers are) and if this amp is handled improperly during shipping it can rip the pegs and welds from the bottom of the case leaving holes and no way to secure the transformer in the future. For this reason I will ship the amp with the screws removed and the transformer wrapped in bubble wrap inside the frame. This is the safest ways to ship one of these amps. It should be clear from the pictures what to do.
