Hailwood & Ackroyd Hailwoods Improved miners lamp type 01B with blue glass.It has 39 stamped on the shield and on the side of the oil reservoirOn the inside of the reservoir is stamped 411 4 7047 and on the main body of the lamp just to the base of the glass is stamped 709.I understand that the blue glass was used during WW2 by ARP wardens to mark unexploded bombs and gas leaks.And it was thought the German bombers could not see the blue light.It is 11" tall, not including the hook and in good used condition with the normal dinks you would expect with a used lamp, but note THE BLUE GLASS HAS A CRACK IN IT.
