Hairy Male Nude Torso Sculpture by Wim GriffithWim believes the male form is the most beautiful most inspiring image imaginable. It influences everything he does.Art can feed the soul. Art can change your life.Artist Wim Griffith sculpted this handsome torso. This is a resin sculpture. It is my understanding that it is resin mixed with marble dust called "cold cast marble, which gives it the feel, and weight of carved stone. The base measures 7 ½ inches wide by 4 3/4 inches deep. The sculpture is about 15 inches high and about 9 ½ inches wide. It weighs around 18 pounds, which it why the shipping may appear high.It has an antique finish that brings out the hair pattern that is carved into the sculpture, which makes it one of the most unusual male torsos I've ever seen. There are color variations on the surface that are original to the piece. Although it looks old it is new and is in excellent condition.It is a reproduction of one of Wim Griffiths' bronze sculptures that sell for over two thousand dollars.This is one of those rare pieces of art that you will have your whole life and admire every time you see it.
