This is an old planimeter * which used to be my fathers. I have no need for it, but it may be useful for a collector. The vernier dials and mechanism seem to work all right, but of course I can not guarantee this or indeed guarantee the accuracy of the instrument. It was always taken care of, and remained in its case when not being used. There's even a wee bit of timber wrapped in a bit of tissue paper, which was in the case. This is very likely to be an original item and maybe was just to stop the item shaking in the case.There is the number 1519 on the bottom of the case. * a planimeter is an instrument used to determine the area of an irregular shape.
