Offered for auction is a Hall China company Autumn Leaf pattern Aladdin shape teapot without chips, cracks or crazing. Besides the usual stamp for "Hall's Superior Quality Kitchenware, Tested and Approved by Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemakers Institute", t is a "J4" stamped into the unglazed rim of the bottom of the teapot. This teapot holds 5 cups with the infuser in place. It stands 7-inchesfrom bottom to the top of the finial, width 6 1/4-inches, and spout tohandle 10-inches. T are 3 manufacturing flaws. The first two are small fleabites in the glaze; one on the top of the spout and the other concealed in the pattern on the side. The third is a skip in the gold around the top of the infuser. At first, I thought it was wear, but now I think it was a factory flaw because it is so distinct. It is shown in the 4th picture. T is no other gold loss. I couldn't capture the fleabite within the leaf pattern, but the 3rd picture shows (just barely) the other fleabite.The Autumn Leaf Pattern was produced by the Hall China Company from 1933 until 1976. This pattern was produced for the Jewel Tea Company of Barrington, Illinois. The products were offered to Jewel customers as premiums for the purchase of other Jewel products.
