Hall CROCUS Soup Tureen with Lid. I believe they call this the Clover design Soup Tureen. From my internet searches this is indeed one of the rare pieces still sought after from the collectors of this pattern. I found one site that has new replacements of this piece for $449.95; but, if you want the "real deal"... 's your chance. The measurements are: the bowl is approx. 4 1/2" high (I measured on the outside); the bowl is approx. 9" wide from edge to edge of the handles; and the lid is approx. 7 1/4" wide. The trim is in the silver/platinum color and t are no chips or cracks. Based on the appearance of the inside of the bowl; it doesn't look as though it was used very much. From one of the internet sites, this pattern was discontinued in 1938.***You can see a "stain" on the underside of the lid in the picture. It's not a crack and frankly I really don't know what caused this; but, it's not a crack . I looked at it with a magnifying glass and it looks like it can be "cleaned" or "bleached out". Really don't want to try to remove it myself and ruin it. If anyone has any suggestions and you want me to try before you bid; please let me know.***I've added two "close-ups" to show the "stain". Thanks to all who have responded... the majority vote is to leave it alone and let the Winning Bidder clean it (if they want). Please look at read more
