An elegant early 19th. century tea bowl and saucer by New Hall decorated in Pattern 20, know as "Boy with peony". Neither piece is marked. (See Holgate David New Hall Page 140 Plate 20.) Bowl: Ht 48mm Dia. 81mm Saucer: Ht. 30mm Dia. 130mm. All measurements approximate. Not quite perfect, both pieces have a small rim chip and associated fine hairline crack. Although difficult to be certain, it does appear as if both chips are glazed over , and may, therefore, have occurred during the manufacturing process. Both pieces have minor kiln fritting, typical of the period. They display well. Please carefully examine photographs.I am downsizing, and so selling my collection. I have tried to describe the item honestly. Any queries please contact me before giving feedback.
