The original 1921 Constable First Edition of this fascinating study of the inland waterways and water transport (Steamers etc) of Mesopotamia around 1920. 252 pages. Well illustrated with photographs. Wrapper is unclipped and has just the lightest of wear around the edges - nice bright example. Boards of the book have some evidence of damping on extremities - which is barely discernible on the inside (reverse) side of the boards. Front board is also a bit bend around the front edge. Contents are complete and in good condition with very tight binding. No inscription Book spine is also cocked about 8mm out of true. Rare item - especially in original dust-wrapper.
