First hardcover edition of Halo in Blood John Evans, in dust jacket.1946: Coward McCann (NY). First edition with $2.00 price on flap. Not ex-library or book club!Very good jacket with a couple of light stains on flaps and minor edge wear. Book is very good.Hardboiled novel from the Author, Howard Brown, writing under his Evans pseudonym. Browne has been compared to Chandler, an author who prose matches the detail, tone and essence of Chandler's mid-century works.Very good jacket with small chips on edges. Very good plus book I pack extremely well. Look for another round of my library sell-off, including rare mid-century film noir basis books and other collectible editions. Time to downsize. Thanks for viewing my books! Look for other similar titles such as these -- I do combine shipping to save you even more. Many of these books come out of my personal 27-year collection. Most books have been housed in a glass-enclosed book shelf.
