Vintage Halsam/Elgo Plastics Skyline set #93has 6 packets of the plastic building blocks- 5 of the bags are still unopened!has the original set of instructions as well as 8 sheets of flooringbox has some bends, most noticeably on the bottom.. see picturesThe Halsam Products company was created in the early 1940s by two brothers-in-law, Hal Elliott and Sam Goss, who put their first names together to form the company name. Ten years later they created Elgo Plastics Inc by putting together the first two initials of their surnames.Halsam was known for wooden toys, such as building blocks and dominoes. Later, after the introduction of plastics, Halsam switched to plastic toys, including American Skyline, a construction toy used to build skyscrapers.Elgo Plastics Company first offered its American Plastic Bricks in the 1940s. The Halsam toy manufacturer, also located in Chicago, eventually bought out Elgo Plastics, and the Halsam American Plastic Bricks sets were taken over by Playskool, which, of course became a part of Milton Bradley in 1968, and thus part of Hasbro, Inc., when Hasbro acquired the game company in 1984.Non Smoking household.
