MUST PICK UP-I WILL NOT SHIP. This is a high quality grandfather clock made by Lancaster County craftsmen in the mid 1970's. They were only made for several years and are very scarce. Price new was around $3300 and with Pa sales tax, delivery and setup close to $3700. The dial is signed Hamilton Since 1892 Lancaster County. the door has a nameplate inside Hamilton Lancaster County no a6132 It is the moon phase dial which rotates for the moon phases and t is also a handpainted Lancaster County scene on that dial of a covered bridge. The dial, weight shells and pendulum are solid brass and the fancy scrollwork on the face of the dial is 24K gold Plated. The movement is a Hamilton Made in Germany 83K and has a round logo that looks like an A over KC. The case is solid wood and I believe oak. It has a 9 step furniture grade finish for maximum clarity, depth and color tone(it is a little dusty in my pics). The select wood is kiln dried-not air dryed. The door is 1 1/8" thick--not 3/4" as found on most grandfathers. Key lock door. Sides and front are beveled glass. Joints are doweled and glued or splined and glued--not just glued--so the case will stay together. It has a 3 weight driven movement with a key crank. t are 14 chime rods set up in a series of 4 and a series of 8 and t is a switch on the dial to change between Westminster, Whittington
