Fresh out of a local estate is this INCREDIBLE M22 US Navy WWII Ship's Cronometer. I have taken the time to get some nice pictures of this beauty. ONLY PROBLEM is I can't get the back of the Cronometer off so sorry no pictures of the inside. What I do know from research is that Hamilton made this particular watch in 21 Jewels. Numbered them etc. I had this clock running for approx. 12 hours and it never missed a beat so I have no problem tell you it is a runner and a fine runner at that. If you look at the last two pictures you will see the inscription. The brass gimbal is perfect and nice and firmly placed in the box. NEVER have I see a box as clean as this one. It is almost impossible to tell this piece is 79 years old. There are a some scratches on the inside of the box under the clock. Not noticable when clock is in place. The rest of the box as you can see from the pictures is literally incredible all the way down to the hardware and name plate. What makes this as RARE as it is is that it has the outer box used to mount to the ship. It is also in really nice condition with no breaks etc. (wood is in need of stain but that will be up to the new buyer) Overall, this Cronometer is a 95%++. BE THE BIDDER at this NO reserve auction. ANYONE INTERESTED IN MAKING A BUY IT NOW OFFER I WILL CONSIDER BUT DON'T EMBARASS YOURSELF I KNOW WHAT THIS IS WORTH AND SO DOES THE REST OF THE EBAY NATION.
