This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a full floral carved saddle by the famous makers "Hamley," and for a fraction of what a new one would cost- WITHOUT THE WAIT! Up for auction is a 16 ½" (measured from just below the horn base to the front of the cantle) HAMLEY AND COMPANY RANCH SADDLE- PENDLETON, OREGON. The saddle has a "Lieuallen" tree with 13" swells, and appears to have been used little to none. T are not even any press marks on the skirts from the dee rings. Apparently, someone has this rig special made for a show piece more then anything else, as it's in mint condition. However, if you're familiar with the Hamley name, you know this saddle's built as tough as any. The ONLY negative thing I can inform of is t's a very small amount of fleece missing around the gullet area from moths, certainly not from use. This saddle has the famous FULL FLORAL CARVING that Hamley is so known for. The stirrups are bullhide covered, and these are virtually indestructible. The serial number is shown on a photo, and is located behind the cantle, along with the original owner's name. are the remaining specs:
3 ½" cantle with bead binding
3 ¼" horn cap
3" stirrup leathers
27" skirt length
Quarter horse bars on bullhide tree
Weight is around 35lbs.
Go to Hamley's website and price a similar saddle from them. You're looking at 5K minimum. MY RESERVE IS LESS THAN HALF THAT, so get it while it's available. I received this saddle on a trade, and got a great deal, now you can, too. I'm also a maker myself ( ), and can professionally add some "Nevada" wraps for the stirrups leathers for $50 above selling price, if you want. The thick, supple leather is like new, so it really wouldn't be a bad idea. Shipping and ins. is around $75, and I highly recommend the few extra dollars for the ins.- we'll both sleep better. I use DHL shipping. Saddle does not have a back girth or off billet. I've never misrepresented any of my saddles, I'm not either, so sale is final. You won't be disappointed. THANKS!
