Rare Hammered Copper Souvenir Riverside Mission Inn c. 1910 For nearly twenty-five years, I conducted estate sales and occasionally did antique shows. Although, it was never the most profitable of enterprises, it was always interesting and allowed my wife and myself to build a very nice collection of antiques and collectibles. A perfect example is this hand-hammered copper bowl that I've just removed from my personal collection. It's a souvenir from Riverside's Mission Inn and probably dates to about 1905. This was the period when Frank Miller was touring the world bringing back all the weird and wonderful artifacts that he used to furnish and decorate his labor of love. The bowl was probably made in India or North Africa. Although they're a little indistinct, the sides are adorned with raised images of animals including an elephant. The image of the Seventh Street arches at the bottom may have been stamped in the shop w the bowl was made or added after being shipped Inscription reads: "California's Mission Hotel, The Glenwood, Riverside". Bowl is 5" in diameter and 2" high. Condition is excellent. This item is guaranteed to be authentic and just as described. Please review my 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence--especially since all my sales are backed with the best, money-back return policy on eBay. If a California resident, buyer is to provide a resale license or add 8.75 % sales tax. Priority mail in the U.S. will be $4.60 + optional insurance.
