Dimensions: This vase stands 10 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It will bring a story to any display situation. This is a wonderful original vase created by me in my studio in Cambridge, Minnesota. This piece was created in an artifactual style. I compare it to some tribal art works I have been inspired by. This exciting vase was made using a water crackle method w a layer of fine powder was applied then cracked in water. It remelts as it expands making a unique design that leaves the onlooker with a sense of hot igneous rock. As if the heat that was used to make the glass remains and is trying to escape its solid form. I really enjoy making these pieces because no two ever crack in the same way. These types of pieces excite me because they really look like an ancient vessel that has been given new life. I have blown glass for four years and through much schooling and apprenticeships I have developed a unique style that I hope you will enjoy. This is all I do for a living and I remain passionate about my work despite the downturn in the economy. At an art show a vessel like this would price at $175 but I enjoy internet auctions as I can see what people think of my work from a broader spectrum. Happy bidding and enjoy!
