Wild Flower Hand Blown Russian Art Glass Vase by Essie Zareh, and signed on the bottom (E Zareh engraved in the glass). Piece is large (approx 17" tall) and looks like a beautiful blooming flower. The body of the piece is a rich red thick satiny glass with abstract lines of blues, yellow, green and lavendar, and the opening is done in rich blue-violet shades. Incredible detail and a rough pontil at the base. Made of Baijan Glass, hand-made glassware from Azerbaijan, a former Russian province. Each piece is hand made. Baijan Glass uses a style of multilayer glass with unusual and exotic shapes to create this unique piece of art. Each color represents one layer of glass. Approximately 17" tall and 8" wide at the base. 3-5 lbs approx. This is a vintage piece, so let me point out there a few light scratches on the back, on the underside of one of the curls and on the mouth of the vase, but they are too small, light or blended in to the color really capture in photos well.
