Greetings from historic Charleston South Carolina, Thanks for yor kind emails, I'm fine now and glad to be finding and listing treasures from the estates of "the Holy City" and great stuff from the lowcountry. is a spectacular hand carved mahogany half - tester king sized bed. I originally thought it was called a half canopy but I was corrected. I'm told it is French, note the birds on the headboard. Really not sure the age but it is in pristine condition. The carvings are tasteful, intricate and speak superior craftmanship.The intricate designs, the points on the headboard, the carved rails, all combine perfectly. The pictures can't quite capture the breath- taking beauty of this bed. It is truly an elegant piece that should be treasured for generations. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking as I've never seen a bed quite like this. I do know that it is solid mahogany, beautifully carved and will make a royal statement in any home. 7 ft 6 in tall ( to top of canopy) - 7ft 6 in front to back - 6 ft 9in wide I have the slats that will fit this bed and will ship to the winner.
