This is the only "Christmas goose" Santa that I have carved this year. From the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, this Old World Santa is hand carved by the seller. I am a self-taught carver, and have been carving Old World Santas since 1988. Each carving is from basswood. These are original works, hand carved from wood; they are not molds . They are carved "in the round", carved on front, sides and back. They are painted with acrylic paints, (usually) antiqued, and sealed. They are all dated, numbered and signed.These carvings are excellent for adding to your collection or to use as gifts for that very special need.This Old World Santa is #1471, standing 7 ½" tall, and has a red coat with ivory trim. He is holding a Christmas goose and a staff. He has an antique finish and has an aged appearance. This is an '06 carving, and the only "Christmas goose" Santa I have carved this year.
