Description: This carving is from, Wally White, who lives in Bailey , Colorado , and is hand carved from basswood. Wally still carves although in his 80s he is semi-retired. The bird is painted with acrylic paints. The eyes are made from glass. The bird is signed and mounted on a wood base and was carved within the last couple of years. It is part of my vast collection of birds which I am trying to par down. This is a great value for collectors. It has been in a non smoking house and in like new condition. Measure: a. 8 inch b. 6 ¾ inch c. 2 1/4 inch a. from the beak to the end of tail. b. from the top of the carving to the base. c. the widest part of the bird.
