Removed from Asher & Adams New Topographical Atlas and Gazetteer of New York. New York: Published by Asher & Adams, (1870). First edition. Copper plate engraved double-page folio map printed one side only on thick paper measuring 17.5" x 24", with original hand coloring. Condition: Folded once vertically (as issued), two short, closed tears in the upper margin (not affecting map), slightly age-tanned, hint of foxing, easily Very Good.A visually compelling map with subtle hand coloring showing fifteen counties in west central New York. Provides details of railroads, canals, cities, towns, villages, lakes, rivers, lighthouses, survey lines, post offices, county seats, as well as topographical features.A copy of the title page for the atlas is provided.
