I apprecieate all of those who have purchased my knives during the last few weeks and all the fine compliments you have past back to me after you received your knife. Like the others, this knife is hand forged from 1/8" 1095 high carbon steel. The full tang blade extends 6 1/4 inches past the handle. As you can see the forging marks are intentionally left in the blade. After the forge work, the cutting bevel of the blade is shaped by hand filing using a technique called draw filing. After forging I stamp the blade with my mark, the letter "Y" breaking through an arrow. And then expertly heat treated and tempered by me using modern heat treating ovens. When ever I make a knife I always start with the handles and then forge the blade to accent the natural beauty of the handle material I have available. These handle slabs are of Rocky Mountain Elk and held securely in place read more
