Item Report Item Description Shipping Info Payment Info Hand-Hammered Brass Umbrella Stand from Cork PubWell it's a big hello from the prairie in Wilmington, Illinois on this cool and dry (for a change) Thursday, August 30th. We've been sorting through a container we just got in from home in Ireland and we've found some fabulous old Irish items and this is one of them. This is a very old hand-hammered brass umbrella stand that I bought from my friends at the Sugar Loaf Pub in Adrigole, County Cork, Ireland and this is certainly one of our fabulous finds that we'd be delighted to keep because we have just the place for it.It's a large one - 19" tall and 9 1/2" in diameter - and it is in very good condition to be 80 years old. And that's about how long it has been at the Sugar Loaf, one of our favorite Irish pubs, which overlook Bantry Bay (see picture taken from the Sugar Loaf parking lot). This is a hand-hammered gorgeous brass piece with an English fireside scene hammered into it. Actually, this gorgeous old brass umbrella stand was made in England and the maker's mark is on the bottom of it.This is a fabulous find, and, like I said, we'd be happy to keep it but we thought we'd give you one shot at it before we give it a permanent home. Thanks for looking and to see a lot more just run over to our Ebay Store - The Keltic Konnection read more
