This is a set of two hand wrought iron dummy strap hinges that I made on my coal fired forge in upper East Tennessee. These hinges were made using 1" x 3/16" flat iron. They have rounded bean finial ends, and each piece is pre-drilled with holes for mounting. The total length of each hinge is about 19" long. They are completely hand made, so there is slight variation between each strap. I will finish these with clear lacquer, or on request with a traditional beeswax finish to preserve the metal and keep them beautiful for years to come. I can also finish these with flat black paint upon your request. This is a functional set that you can use indoors or outdoors, on your shed, gate, closet, home, or barn, or on a primitive piece of furniture. These dummy strap hinges are entirely hand made using the same tools and techniqes used by generations of American Blacksmiths. These are dummy strap hinges would go great on your gate, shed door or barn door, or even a large cabinet. Add a true antique look to your door or cabinet the easy way--just add these with the least amount of trouble. These are completely hand made and are of high quality.
