The sword's blade has been handmade with high carbon steel, hammered out so that the carbon is evenly distributed throughout the blade for a consistent hardness. The scabbard is made with hard wood with a black color finish. This sword comes with a very unique feature that you can not find in other ninja swords on the market. A wood blow tube is en-bedded at the end of the scabbard with a black string tied to its one end which helps to pull the blow tube out from the scabbard. The usage of the blow tube is obvious , it is used by ninjas when they have to swim pass rivers or water ponds, with the blow tube, they can remain under water for hours and emerge out of the water when the time comes. Just like any other real hand made katana, this sword is full tang and can be completely disassembled. To disassemble it, simply remove the 2 wood pins located on the sword handle and then gently tap loose the blade from the handle. This is a real sword/katana that has sharp blades, please handle with extra cautions .
