Hello and Thank you for looking! We are very pleased to offer you fine and interesting items from our Hudson Valley locale. For your consideration, we have a fine and early Basket with an early Sevres mark. The marking is blue underglaze, with no date letters. Research shows that this was used between 1795 -1801 in their soft paste wares. The basket has 3 lobed sections, each with a hand painted bird on the interior of the section. The three piece handle is intertwined with ribbons which create a bow shaped finial on the top of the handles. Dimensions are 3" tall x 3 1/2" from center of each side. T is a restoration to one of the handles. Slight loss to the rose colored is noted and shown in the photos. Also noted is minor gilding loss on the edge of the basket. Our merchandise is found locally, from estates throughout the Hudson Valley and Tri-state area. As these are usually antique and/or collectible items, we do our best to research the items and portray them as accurately as possible. Please email any questions prior to bidding.
