Up for bids is this beautiful hand carved and hand painted Mexican Cross, Nativity Scene , very detailed work from well know carver and artist Ronald " Santino" Kowalski, who lives in Deming, New Mexico, he has carved and painted hundreds of items for many years, he has had write ups in Las Cruces Sun News, El Paso Times and New Mexico Magazine, has sold to the director of folk art of the Metropolitan Museum of art- New York (Kenneth Cooper), carved several pieces to the Mayor of Deming, also to several Mayors of Mexico, also many pieces for the Franciscans of Holy Cross Retreat in Las Cruces, his work has been listed in tourist Guide to Galleries of New Mexico, he was also commission for an 8 foot cross when a movie was being produced in Deming starring Margita Hargitay( star of Law and Order), the Cross measures 12" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 3/4" thick, using ponderosa pine from New Mexico, it is signed on the back by the artist, it does have a leather piece on top to hang.
