You are bidding on a 2-pc hand-painted and carved wooden Chinese cabinet. I do not know how old this cabinet is, but from the finish and construction, I believe it to be very old. The cabinet is constructed entirely using mortise and tenon construction. T does not appear to be any nails or metal fasteners used other than the fasteners holding the handles on the doors and the pulls on the two drawers. ( A picture of the fasteners is attached.) The end of one of the doors is also pictured to show the peg construction. T are two pairs of hinged doors with carvings on the upper and middle section of the cabinet and a pair of sliding doors at the bottom. The top pair of doors has Chinese characters and the middle pair of doors are gilt-covered carved vases, vines and flowers. T are two drawers inside of the middle section. T is a great amount of hand-painted ornamentation on this cabinet as you can tell from the pictures. Overall size is 42" wide x 67 ½" high x 19" deep.

Condition: This piece shows extensive wear consistent with age, including chipped and faded paint, gouges, e dgewear and scratches throughout . I don't want to imply that this cabinet is in perfect condition - because it is not. It is very old though and I think is a unique piece with lots of interest and character.

Shipping: I would prefer that item be picked-up locally in Millersville , MD - zip code 21108. However, if you are interested in having the item shipped, it will be the buyer's responsibility to arrange. All packaging and crating must be done by the shipping company; tfore, be sure that they will properly package and ship and that item will be insured. Please understand that all shipping is third party and I cannot be responsible for delays, etc. beyond my control. Your payment for bid amount must be received within 7 days of auction end and is only for item. All packaging, shipping and insurance charges will be paid by the buyer directly to the shipper. Item must be picked up within 7 days unless other arrangements are made in advance.

Payment: Payment must be by cash or cashier's check at pick-up or by cashier's check within 7 days of auction end if not picking up right away or arranging for shipping.
