Gorgeous hand painted dream catcher or medicine shield. You will sleep well and be safe with this wolf guarding you and your dreams. T is a lovely subtle dreamcatcher woven over the entire surface. This is so much more beautiful than my pictures can show! Your winning bid on this will qualify you as a protector of Northern breed dogs in need, and they will sing their thanks in the moonlight :-)Measures approximately 50 inches top to bottom; the painted circle is 24 inch diameter, and the feathers hang down about 26 inches below the circle. Donated by Jane, Pomo, Little Fox, and Arctic Last year alone, Norsled saved 200 dogs from certain death (we take almost all of our dogs from shelters just before their time is up, in case they are reunited with their human, or adopted), and all this was done with NO paid staff, and NO facility. The dogs are cared for in our foster homes. Last year, our vet bills totaled $50,000...so you can see: we really need money!! Please bid high, bid often and remember your generosity will help save a dog's life :-) Thanks for your interest! AND REMEMBER: IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO START YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!! Donations of auction items are still being gratefully accepted.

Since our inception, we have helped find homes for over 1,000 dogs. NorSled has worked with local shelters to help find homes for an additional 500+ dogs adopted directly from shelters. Many of these dogs we have found homes for were over 3 years old, and tfore harder to place. In addition to our rescue & adoption program we have helped countless owners to either keep their dogs or re-home them when necessary. We work with shelters, volunteers and other rescue groups throughout northern CA - from San Francisco to Nevada to Yuba and further north to assist with rescue efforts for Nordic and other breeds. We coordinate efforts with more than 10 other rescue groups, host adoption fairs in at least 3 counties and attend events in even more. NorSled conducts programs at local schools educating students about dogs, sled dogs in particular and the Iditarod.
