Hand Painted Nippon Marmalade Jam Preserve Pot This marmalade jar is stunning! The attention to detail, the time consuming Moriage, the lightness and clarity of the china - WOW!Some of the gilt/gold has worn away, as you can see in the photos. But t are no chips or crazing. T may be the beginning of a crack by the backstamp. It shows in the photo, but I cannot feel it with my fingernail or see it on the reverse side by shining a light on it.It stands 6 ¼" tall at the top of the handle and is 4 ¾" wide handle to handle. T was a note inside calling it a marmalade jar, yet I am not an expert. If you have input I would be happy to hear it.This item comes from a smoke free home. Please ask any questions before you bid.
