Thank you for looking at this incredible hand painted and signed round trinket box. This was purchased at an estate sale of a Doctor's widow and they had traveled worldwide and had a vast amount of priceless souveniers. I was lucky to snag this piece! The picture with only the gold painted design is the inside of the box when the lid is removed. T is VERY minor wear on some of the gold w the lid meets the bottom. I believe the pictures show this. No crazing, cracks, chips, or any other defects. I can't exactly decide on the animal that is painted in the enter...though it could be a deer. I found through research the New York Times actually wrote an article about the artist and this is their suggestion: Look especially for their wares painted in "Sienese style" using only black, white, and terra di Siena reddish brown (what we call burnt sienna) with designs inspired by the oldest pavement panels in the Duomo. As you can see this is truly a treasure to be aquired by someone who appreciates fine European art and porcelains. After the auction has ended, I will send you an invoice. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! The shipping quoted is an estimate and I won't know the exact weight until I package it. I would hate for you to overpay on shipping so PLEASE make sure that you wait on my invoice before checking
