Up for auction is a hand painted embossed rendition of the 527th Bomb Squadron/379th bomb group flight jacket patch. Patch colors are a black on a natural leather background, with the black colors recessed or embossed exactly like originals. This patch is based off the classic rendition used throughout WW2 from the B-17 flying fortress squadrons in the 8th Airforce. The size of the patch is 5 1/2" inches in diameter This particular patch is painted with special textile paints that resist cracking and peeling so you can wear without worry unlike a 60 year old + original. This item is sold as a reproduction , based off the original embossed patch which I have included in a scan for comparison to see how close it actually is.
