This auction is a Hand Turned Ambrosia Maple Ball Point Pen. This piece was hand crafted by John himself. This gorgeous pen is hand crafted of stunning Ambrosia Maple. Pen has gold and black colored detailing and a USN insignia on the clip. Currently has black in, but refills can be purchased in any color. Includes a lined gift box - would make a great gift! About Ambrosia Maple: Ambrosia Maple is a maple that has been penetrated by the Ambrosia Beetle. The beetle is not large, and creates a series of holes or tunnels into the wood. One result is a series of streaks that mark the penetration and surrounding wood. At times the penetration streaks may be amplified by mineral stain and spalting, which will enhance the appearance of the wood but not be detrimental structurally. -------- Thank you for checking out this auction.
