... Bilbo Baggins was standing at his door after breakfast smoking an enormous long wooden pipe that reached nearly down to his woolly toes..." Thanks for visiting my listing! I craft and sell wooden pipes, often inspired by Tolkien's descriptions of pipes smoked by Hobbits and other pipe smoking Middle Earth dwellers, all from native North American hardwood and fully functional. This pipe is crafted from two pieces of wood, cut, seasoned, and shaped by myself from my property, growing wild and organically in the woods. The stems is made from wild rose and the bowl is apple, the stem and the bowl fitted together without the use of any glues or adhesives, and the coloring was achieved by carefully toasting the wood, all finished with a 1:4 beeswax/olive oil compound. This is a very elegantly shaped pipe with a great draw, and will look great either being smoked or just for displaying. Dimensions: -Stem length (measured around the curve): 16 inches -Bowl depth: ~1 inche -Bowl diameter: 7/8 inches I'm very proud of this piece, and I truly hope that you can find as much enjoyment in using it as I did in making it!
