Unusual, vintage drawknife tool. Looks to be hand forged (seems like half the tools I see on ebay say that, but this has the hammering, inconsistent sizing, and odd shape to support the assertion!). So, what the heck IS this item? I don't have a clue, but my guess is that it might be for creating a tongue on logs or other large hunk of wood. The wood handles are in good shape and about 5" long. The tool is about 15 and 1/2" long. Each cutting portion is close to 3" long (fairly sharp!) and the gap/space between them is 2 and 3/4". The top of the "bar" separating the two blades is about 1 and 1/2" above the base of the blades. Very cool and unique tool (I've yet to see one like it on ebay)!!! Usual usage and condition (light surface rust, but otherwise in darn good shape). Questions? Give me a holler! Pretty decent tool and looks pretty good.
