is a very well made pipe tomahawk hand forged from a gun barrel. It has many of the features of the early eastern style tomahawk, but I think it is from the 1850's era or later. The head measures 7 3/8" long with a 2 3/8" edge. The blade is extra heavy and has a diamond cut out. The pipe bowl is large, very well formed, and the lands and grooves of the rifle barrel are still very visible inside the pipe bowl. The inside of the pipe bowl is also funnel shaped, another feature of the gun barrel made tomahawks. The eye is oval shaped and measures 1 3/8" by 1 1/8". The handle is 17 3/4" long and made from a sapling. It was very skillfully carved with long narrow end to end fluting making it a 12 sided handle. The mouthpiece is carved in the typical later style and the pipe draws very well. This tomahawk is worthy of anyone's collection and should be given serious consideration. Thanks for your interest and good luck bidding.
