Welcome to the new Max-21 Software Package. You'll note that we have included the original paper-and-pencil rules for both Max-21 and the Double Dozen System in the back of the manual. You will also find in those pages some of the most viable ways to play both systems, both straight and in the exotics. One thing to note is that if you are doing only the 'Best Bet' part of the Max-21, a 'best bet is any horse who has at least a 9-point advantage over the next highest scorer. That rule used to be a 10-pt advantage, but we found 9 pts or more just as effective and it gets you a few more plays. The best bets overall perform best, but you will find that the regular picks, the Max l's and Max 2's also do very well. Includes the P&P Methods and complete manual! Also including IN The Groove Thissoftware takes the best-selling paper-and-pencil version of the “In The Groove” methodology and makes it even more powerful. The paper-and-pencil method had five “grooves” to calculate, and any more than that by hand would have been too much strain mentally to make it a viable system. Because computers can handicap an entire card in one second, I was able to expand this to seven “grooves”, plus the added “ Groove Power Number ”, which makes the method even more powerful.
