Rachel Albright. Silk, 10.75 x 7` with hand-stitched stripes, and embroidered stars, the header apparently applied with machine stitching. With an inked inscription on the header `First Flag made 1777 by Betsy Ross. This copy of the original flag made Feb. 1903 by Rachel Albright, aged 90 y. 8 mo grand daughter of Betsy Ross.` Albright is known to have made several of these, this the second in eight years we have offered. In a period gilt frame, framed to show both sides of the textile.
