Up for sale is another beautiful new handmade Amish quilt from Lancaster County, PA. This quilt is in pattern Broken Star and is both warm and inviting with its rich earth tones. The splendid center star is pieced from chocolate brown solids as well as dark and milk chocolate prints that have hints of wheat, tan, green, gold, black, rose and more. The background fabric is lightest cream and works well with the warm cozy tones of the quilt. The quilting detail is lovely with its pinwheel flowers all around the star as well as the braided pattern quilted outside the outer edges of the star. T is a border of smaller pieced stars that match the center star all around the edges of the piece as well as additional stars to lay across the pillowtug. The edges are gently scalloped and the piece is bound in chocolate brown. This quilt is a generous size, measuring approximately 114 inches by 103 inches Wide. It is pictured on a pillowtop Queen and hangs nicely. It will hang longer on a standard Queen and might be suited to a king size bed with a dust ruffle, but as always, please measure before you buy.
