The blade of this knife, although considerably smaller, is patterned after the Indonesian Bolo. It has three distinct differences from my standard field knives. First, it has a much thicker cross section. Second it has a 10 degree secondary angle as opposed to the standard 7 degree. And third, it has an unconventional grind at the point for superior skinning and thrusting capabilities. In short this knife is great for chopping, slicing, skinning and poking holes in anything you might want to poke holes in. The blade itslelf is 1095HC that has been polished and tempered to 56RC. It measures 6 X 1 1/2 X 3/16 with an overall length of 11 1/4 inches. The ferrule is polished brass. The handle is genuine Deer antler making this knife truly one of a kind. The hand sewn cowhide belt sheath is double saddle stitched, rivet reinforced and has a retaining strap to secure the knife. This is not one of those made in China knives you see at the flea market. This is a 100% handmade survival knife made by me right in Oklahoma America. So, if you've got an Elk pelvis that needs splitting, or maybe some saplings that need to be cut and notched for an emergency shelter this knife can handle it.
