Humucker Set (Bridge and Neck) from British maker "CooperPickups" (webpage can be found by adding www and .com to this as I cant put a link on here!) promotional for E bay only, retail around £145. Long leg baseplate, vintage braid connecting wire, butyrate bobbins and plain enamel wire, all vintage correct. Absolutely gorgeous set of pickups! Set is wax potted. Vintage warmth with a strong bass response, airy singing highs and authentic hollow midrange. The specifically deguassed Alnico II magnet accurately captures, replicates and celebrates that sweet late 50's PAF tone. Hand scatterwound with 42 guage plain enamel wire and faithfully constructed with all vintage specification parts including 'butyrate bobbins', 'nickel silver' baseplates and covers, maple spacers, nickel plated slugs and pole pieces. They have the look, sound and even the smell of vintage humbuckers. Varying the winds on each coil opens up abundant harmonics and overtones with increased response and sensitivity. The low wind keeps the mids down creating a pickup the sustains beautifully and also retains clarity through chordal work.
