Herodotus reported seeing flying beasts in Persia, Marco Polo recorded being attacked by dragons on the Arabian Peninsula. Cultures with no contact and oceans between them share similar legends of dragons. It remains an enigma that has sparked scientific investigation and fantastic speculation. This is a hand made Dragon Katana. The sword includes a Sword Bag. Attributes of the Weapon: Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from high carbon steel with a Maru lamination. The sword has a uniform hardness throughout the blade. The Kissake is well defined with an aesthetic hamon down the length of the blade. The top of the blade features a Bo-Hi, to lower the weight and give audible feedback when the sword is swung. The sword comes razor sharp and is full tang. Saya: The Saya is wooden with a black high gloss finish. The Kurigata is wooden with a shiny copper fitting. Tied around the Kurigata is a black cord wrap. The Koi-guchi has been made from bull horn. Tsuba: The blade is secured by a one piece brass Habaki. The actual Tsuba is blackened steel alloy with a dragon wrapped around the blade. The Tsuba is secured by two copper Seppas. Tsuka: The Fuchi is blackened steel. The Tsuka core is wooden with an authentic ray skin Same and black cotton cord Ito. The tang is secured by two bamboo Mekugi.
