Handmade Scale Tang Hunting Knife by Ironman

Of all the knife designs, the scale tang is by far the strongest. Simply because the blade and handle are one solid piece of steel. This particular knife is a great all around blade for the outdoorsman. It has plenty of belly for skinning and a good straight edge for slicing. The drop point configuration is preferred by many hunters because it has a tendency to poke fewer holes in the hide you are skinning. The blade is polished 1095HC that has been tempered to 54RC. It measures 6 X 1 1/2 X 1/8. Overall length of the knife is 11 inches. The guard is polished brass as are the pins that secure the scales to the tang. The scales are African Blackwood that has been stabilized to prevent shrinking or swelling. The hand laced cowhide belt sheath is rivet reinforced and has a retaining strap to secure the blade. This is not one of those made in China flea market specials. This is a 100% handmade field knife, made by me right in Oklahoma America. So, whether you're a hunter, camper, or just someone who wants a good, rugged handmade knife, this one will do everything you expect it to, and look good doing it.
