My husband was given this handmade machete by a civilian in Okinawa, Japan in 1962 while serving t in the Marines. The blade was hand made in Vietnam during the Vietnam War from the spring in an American military Jeep. The scabbard is wood covered by leather. The machete handle is hand carved wood. The two leather straps are torn. This machete is very rustic and very collectible; a good addition to any military collection. It is 16" long by 2 1/2" at the widest. The blade is 9" long. Weight is approximately 1 1/2 lbs.|
