STUNNING BISCUIT JAR FOR ANY KITCHEN, HUTCH or DISPLAY AREA DESCRIPTION : This is a stunning designed piece. This bird and butterfly motif has a flavor of early Oriental in the branches, details to the birds and butterflies and blue corn stalks in the background . ....gorgeous artistry......Must see !!! This is painted on a milk glass jar with silver lid. The lid has beautiful etched scrolls along the top rim and a tall finial. MEASUREMENTS: This piece measures 10 1/4 inches tall (with the handle in the upright position) and approximately 6 inches wide at the widest point. Trademarks : This jar has not been signed. Any labels it might have had are not present. CONDITION: This jar has one problem and that is a hairline crack at the base that is fairly large and travels across the entire base portion of the jar. It is very sound. I believe it is an old repair that has been done professionally. T is one patch that protrudes a bit but once again very sound. Without looking closely it is hard to detect this flaw but it is t It is a big one. T are a couple of chips (nicks) along this line. T is no missing paint, chips or nicks other than this crack. The silver is beautiful and has polished to a lovely patina. Since this piece is flawed I am selling it "AS IS". No returns. If you are interested, bid early.
