THIS handsome MAHOGANY BOX was made to house an AMPUTATION SET in the mid 1800's.
.The BOX is 15 ½ "by 6" and 3" tall. It is made of solid mahogany ½" thick. The brass corners and the corners reinforcements in the bottom part are in mint condition. The brass center plate is not engraved. The hinges are original. The box is clean, but empty. The only remains of the inner housing design is the leather covered panel which was holding the amputation saw in place (when opening the box).The latches are still t and working. The lock was removed. A custom replacement ( new ) flat lock and key will be included. No crack , some scars in the wood on the front right of the lock.. No blemishes on the brass. The box weights 2lbx 6 oz. A magnificent box to display or house your amputation set. Payment Terms: I prefer PAYPAL ,but will accept money order or check. Shipping Terms : NO HANDLING charge .
