Hannover 1851 selection of 35 fine used stamps all chosen for their wonderful postmarks. The selection starts with three examples showing plate numbers; a beautiful vertical pair with Celle circular postmarks; the Hannover postmarks are circular Hannover and a boxed Hannover as well; the circular postmarks are two Osterode on different papers, Luneburg, Luneburg in black, Schladen, Brinkum, Lehe in black, Markoldendorf, Norden, Goslar, Bremen, Berge, Barnstorf, Engter and Ostendorf; boxed cancellations of Stolzenau, Achim, Luchow and Weener; straight-line cancellations of Zevenand Dassel; a station post cancel of Wunstorf and three examples with plate numbers 2, 8 and 9 in the margins. There are three covers, one with an Ilfeld circular cancel, one with a boxed Hannover cancel and one with a lovely horizontal pair cancelled by straight-line Lesum cancels. This is a lovely study of the second issue of Hannover and all of the stamps are four margins. The catalogue value of these is around 1,000 euros, or around $1,400.
