HANS WEGNER Three-piece child`s set, `Peter`s Table and Chairs,` the table with keyed-through tenons, the chairs with oval cut-out to sides. (Wegner designed these pieces to mark the birth of Borge Mogensen`s son, Peter. The chairs come apart and can be easily re-assembled by a child, without the use of tools. The FDB stamp mark on each piece is indicative of an early manufacturing co-op that Wegner and some of his colleagues were associated with before becoming commercially successful. The mark assures these pieces are from the earliest period of the movement, and of the highest quality. This set was purchased in Copenhagen, c. 1959.) Black FDB stamp mark. Table: 18` x 28` x 17 1/2`, chairs: 19` x 15 1/2` x 12`
