Newspapers from the OAKLAND TRIBUNE, SAN FRANCISCO CALL BULLETIN, SAN FRANCISCO TRIBUNE AND THE SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER ARE REPRESENTED.Hundreds of pages containing all the major headlines from December 2, 1939 to February 27, 1940. The Russian/ Finnish War, Great Britain's involvement in WW2, the Scuttling of the Graf Spree and much more. News that was affecting the world and events that happened in the earlier years of WW2.Also loads of information and gossip about the motion picture stars of that time to include the death of Douglas Fairbanks. These newspapers do have some condition issues. Some brown toning around the outside edges and there are areas on the borders where the paper has torn as seen in pictures. Some pages with the top border cut shorter than normal but articles still complete. Some foxing and a few stains on the hardcover but hardcover and spine are still in good condition without any obvious separation. #There is one page
