Stickley era Rocking Chair - Signed Harden Fresh from a local estate with only 1 previous owner, is an absolutely stunning solid Mission oak rocking chair signed by Harden. This beautiful chair is as close to Near Min t as you will find. It is solid, rocks smoothly, and is very comfortable. All the best Mission features including solid quartered oak with fine tiger striping, pyramid thru-posts at the arms, gentle corbels, and nice proportions. Please note the fine scallops along the top crest and gently curved arms - very fine craftsmanship . The feature that makes this chair rare and unique is the s-curved back slats. They actually float and conform to each persons' back. Extremely rare and comfortable! If you are looking for an Original example of prime Mission furniture, this one is of the Highest Quality . T is virtually no wear on this piece! The patina on the original finish is just immaculate. Finely colored and aged over the years, this chair has a finish that is near museum quality. You will not be disappointed. In addition, the overall condition is Excellent! The original spring seat has been recovered in a nice medium cloth material as shown. The only point of mention is a small chip on the top of the rocker rail. Otherwise, this magnificent rocker is nearly flawless. The size is 38" tall by 27" wide and 30" deep at rockers. Seat area is 20" wide by 18" deep. This is one of the finest condition chairs that you will ever see! If you have been looking for the Best, this one is it.
